Exam Content:    
All questions have been derived from the presentations, course notes and reference materials provided in the online modules or delivered on Day 1 of the Diploma course. The questions address issues which an IR person would deal with on a day-to-day basis and should understand as a component of the IR function, strategy or best practice. Questions for the online exam will be selected randomly and may appear in any order based on the suite of seven modules of the online course:

    Module 1: Introduction to the Practice of Investor Relations
    Module 2: Introduction to Continuous Disclosure and Listing Rules
    Module 3: Introduction to Capital Markets
    Module 4 & 5:Beneficial Ownership and Strategic Shareholder Targeting
    Module 6: The Language of the Capital Markets
    Module 7: Developing a Strategic Investor Relations Program

Exam Eligibility Criteria:    
Only students who have completed the seven online modules or Day 1 of the Diploma of Investor Relations are eligible to sit this online Certificate examination.
Students have twelve (12) months from the date they enroll for the Certificate course to sit the exam. Outside of that time, students are required to undertake the full 7-module course again at their own cost.

Pass Mark:   
70% - Students will be notified immediately of their result on completing the exam. The online exam is marked automatically and a simple pass or fail result generated.

Exam re-sit:  
In the case that a student does not achieve the 70% pass mark, there is one exam re-sit allowed. Students who require a re-sit, can do so by contacting the AIRA Secretariat by email [email protected] or by phone +61 2 9872 9100.

Member: A$380 | Non-Member: A$420 (incl GST, includes one re-sit, should it be required)
Note:  As this exam is optional it is not included in the cost when you purchase the seven modules of the course.  It is a separate fee payable at the time of enrolling to sit it.

Exam Supervision:    
To allow students to complete the AIRA Certificate of Investor Relations examination without the need for a nominated supervisor, the exam will be conducted using ProctorFree Software – an on-demand student authentication system for online testing.  Software will be required to be downloaded ahead of starting the exam.  To do this simply follow the instructions that pop up on your screen once you've entered the exam platform.

Please note, to undertake the exam you will require a computer that has:
1.    Microphone
2.    Camera
3.    WIFI
4.    Please note, multiple screens are NOT permitted.

Once you have completed and submitted the exam, please click “FINISH” on the ProctorFree video image to stop the software.   You may wish to uninstall the software once you have completed the exam.

Exam re-sit:

Where to sit the exam:   
Students are able to choose a location and time of their choice to sit the online exam, should they use the on-demand student authentication software. Students who choose to have a nominated supervisor will need to organise a time and date for the exam to be made available.

The process to follow: 
  
Go to examination enrollment and login to access the exam enrollment link - this is only available to students who are eligible to sit the exam.   On registering for the exam you will be sent an email that includes the exam access link.  In addition, the link will be included in the AIRA Order Confirmation or can be accessed through AIRA's learning management system https://courses.australasianir.com.au/dc.  Please note, after purchasing / registering for the exam it may take up to 45 minutes for the exam to display in the learning management system.
