The IFRS Foundation’s new International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is issuing global disclosure standards on 26 June. What does this mean for companies? How are accounting professionals, sustainability officers and IROs preparing? In this session, a representative from the ISSB will discuss the benefits for both companies and investors of a global baseline of sustainability information for the capital markets.

Topics will include:  
- Harmonizing standards to achieve cost-effective disclosure for any size of business 
- Meeting global investor needs for consistent, comparable and assurable information 
- An industry-based approach to more efficient, decision-useful disclosure 
- Reducing reporting burden and duplication between jurisdictions
- Evolving SASB and TCFD disclosure for climate risk and beyond
- Opportunities to engage with the ISSB as it builds requirements around biodiversity, human capital, human rights and other future topics
