IR Fundamentals – moving from “Polycrisis” to “Polyinnovation”

Welcome to the 2023 AIRA Annual Conference

In the midst of the “Global Polycrisis” investors are seeking businesses with strong fundamentals such as a strategy aligned with profitability, effective management, and sound governance. At the 2023 Annual Conference, we will explore how combining fundamental IR with smart innovation can lead to success.

Effective communication is essential to meeting investor needs. C-Suite executives are focussed on attracting new investors, managing the cost of capital, engagement with current and prospective investors, reducing stock volatility, and being prepared to present in-person again. To achieve these goals, IRO’s must know their shareholders and find innovative ways to engage with investors.

Essential IR fundamentals of focus include:

  • Knowing your investors and their values
  • Working with Analysts and building solid relationships
  • Personalising the company message and using quality content to ensure C-Suite deliver a clear vision in a concise manner when presenting company fundamentals
  • Managing the company’s online communications, website, marketing, social media and video
  • Maintaining agility between in-person and virtual appearances
  • Accessing the right digital and innovative IR tools and using them well
  • Navigating and delivering relevant ESG and sustainability reporting
  • Monitoring/protecting against technological risk including cyber-attacks, data fraud and adverse technological advances
  • Personal and Team development and education

The conference will span two days, the first day's program exploring trends and practices in ESG, Sustainability, and Activism, the second day features contemporary approaches and methods of fundamental investor relations.
