Valuing Investor Relations: IR's Impact on a Company's Valuation

One of Rivel’s most popular (and debateinducing) findings comes as close as you
can to putting a tangible number on the value of IR. Last year a nationally representative sample of 250 buy-side investors were surveyed, from various industries on, among other things, whether or not good IR has a meaningful impact on a firm’s valuation – essentially three out of four (73%) said they believe that good IR does have an impact.

To download a copy of the Corporate Governance Guidelines produced by The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (“ACSI”), please click on the title above. These Guidelines were first developed in March 2003 as a supplement to existing regulatory and industry standards. The ultimate aim was to provide Trustees of superannuation funds with a benchmark to assess corporate governance practices of listed investee companies. These updated August 2005 Guidelines reflect the addition of refinements considered necessary by Trustees in light of their experiences of corporate governance issues since 2003.
